Welcome to the Nest
Hello there friends!
I want to personally take a moment to welcome you to The Stork’s Nest. If you are reading this then hopefully you have also had a chance to look through our new and improved website. We were long overdue for an update and I’m so pleased with how it all turned out (big high five to my gal Madie from Lerue Creative for all of her expertise helping me to put this all together!). Along with our new “look” is the addition of this blog space. In the coming weeks and months I will be working hard to make this blog a trusted source of information for all of the new and expecting families in our community.
The process of rebranding and rebuilding a website is always a painstaking one but it has been a labour of love and much like parenting, always a work in progress! No matter what point you are at in your parenting journey, somehow your search brought you here and it’s my sincere hope that you will find exactly what you need within the walls of our Nest.
Maybe you are wishing that you had a person that you could reach out to at any time. Someone to answer all of your nagging pregnancy or baby related questions. Someone who can calm your nerves and soothe your soul. A pregnancy and parenting “tour guide” if you will? What if I told you that this person actually exists? Yup you heard me correctly. Doula’s do that!
I can’t tell you how many times I have heard families say “Wow, I wish I had known that this type of support existed” or “I could have really used you in my life when I was having my baby”. As a Doula and childbirth educator, I have the opportunity and extreme pleasure of supporting so many families as they journey into parenthood. Whether you are expecting your first baby.....or your fourth, a doula can be an amazing addition to your birth team. We are trained to ease the transition into parenthood, answer all of your questions, and to meet your every need during pregnancy, birth and those challenging weeks postpartum. Let’s keep it real here. It takes a freaking village!

My business was started out of my passion for supporting families throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum. While I have been a doula for many years, I officially transitioned into this career full time over 4 years ago so that I could serve and reach more families. The idea behind the name is that we are “The Nest” that you come to when you need guidance, emotional and physical support during pregnancy and birth, as well as expert advice once baby is here. As trained professionals, Doula’s are your non-judgmental, unbiased “tour-guide” to all things parenting. We help families curate their best birth experience and are their emotional rock through it all. Not only do we offer birth and postpartum doula support but we also offer prenatal education, workshops, and infant feeding and sleep expertise. We want you guys to rock parenthood and we will have your back every step of the way!
